Teflon performance:
1. Non-sticky: Teflon is inert, almost all materials are not bonded with Teflon, and the thin film also shows non-stick performance.
2. Heat and cold resistance: Teflon has excellent heat and low temperature resistance. In a short time, it can withstand temperature to 300℃, melting point is 327℃, and it will not melt at 380℃. Generally, it can be used continuously between 240℃ and 260℃. It has remarkable thermal stability. It can work at freezing temperature. No embrittlement, cold resistance to 190℃.
3. Lubricity: Teflon has a low coefficient of friction. The friction coefficient changes when the load is sliding, but the value is only between 0.04-0.15.
4. Non-hygroscopicity: The surface of Teflon does not stick to water and oil, and it is not easy to stick to the solution during production operations. If there is a small amount of dirt, it can be removed by simply wiping. Short downtime, saving working hours and improving work efficiency.
5. Corrosion resistance: Teflon is hardly corroded by chemicals, and can withstand all strong acids (including aqua regia), strong alkalis, and strong acids except molten alkali metals, fluorinated media, and sodium hydroxide above 300°C. The role of oxidants, reducing agents and various organic solvents can protect parts from any kind of chemical corrosion.
6. Weather resistance: non-aging, the best non-aging life among plastics.
7. Non-toxic: In normal environment within 300℃, it is physiologically inert, non-toxic and can be used as medical and food equipment.
8. Insulation: Very good dielectric constant and high insulation.
The role of Teflon:
The full English name of Teflon is Polytetrafluoroetylene, Teflon, PTFE, F4, etc. for short. Teflon (Polytetrafluoroethene) is a synthetic polymer material that uses fluorine to replace all hydrogen atoms in polyethylene. This material is resistant to acids, alkalis, and various organic solvents, and is almost insoluble in all solvents. It is widely used in various occasions that require resistance to acids, alkalis and organic solvents.
