  Generally speaking, the specification of PTFE gasket is inner diameter + outer diameter + thickness, and there are the following processing methods:

Therefore, when the thickness of the PTFE gasket reaches a certain value, the sealing performance does not change, even deterioration. In addition, the thicker the PTFE gasket, the larger the area of ​​penetration and leakage, and the greater the penetration and leakage rate. The gasket is deformed by increasing the flow resistance of the fluid. The compression of the gasket is particularly reflected on the gasket surface and the flange surface, which can form the initial sealing ability. It reflects the change law that the deformation of the gasket material increases with the increase of time under a certain temperature and load, and its stress decreases with the increase of time. In this way, the leakage of the PTFE gasket may be greatly increased under high temperature conditions.

  The effect of the thickness of the PTFE gasket on leakage: Under the same compression load and the same medium pressure, the leakage rate decreases with the increase of the thickness of the PTFE gasket. This is because under the same axial load, the thick PTFE gasket has a larger compression rebound.
