First, working principle PFA extruder.

PFA material is pushed into the mold with constant pressure, constant temperature and constant power head speed to form product melting state through the mold.

During the extrusion process of the PFA material, the plastic is transported, compacted and further melted by extruder screws so that the PFA material is in a completely uniform plasticized state, extruded under pressure to exit the mold, mechanically formed, and cooled to make the desired product.

The key parts of extruder are screw, cylinder, heating and cooling system, transmission system and control equipment. Among them, the screw is the most critical functional component of extruder, which is responsible for conveying, compacting, plasticizing, homogenizing, pressurizing and pumping the key role of materials.

1, the feeding part: extrusion molding of the feeding part is generally made of granular material, the feeder is to ensure the shape of the extruder cylinder, such as funnel, cone, square cone and other continuous feeding device, also known as hopper. The bottom of the cylinder is connected with the feed hole, with adjustable and cut off the material flow cutting device. There is a cooling jacket around the feed hole to prevent the simple high temperature heat transfer to the hopper, to avoid the temperature viscosity of PFA particles in the hopper, resulting in uneven feed and material flow blockage. The side of the hopper has a glass viewing hole and a calibration measuring device. Some hoppers also have a preheat drying vacuum decompression device to prevent PFA material from absorbing moisture in the air, as well as a blender and automatic timing feed.

2, pressing part: PFA cylinder, also known as cylinder, is a kind of heating and pressing metal cylinder. The plasticizing and pressing part of PFA is carried out in the material cylinder. The working temperature of extrusion forming is generally 180~290℃, and the pressure in the PFA cylinder can reach 60MPA. The PFA cylinder is equipped with heating and cooling device, which is generally divided into three or four parts. The commonly used resistor or inductor heating device is also used for far infrared heating. The goal of refrigeration is to prevent the PFA from overheating or cooling the PFA quickly during shutdown to prevent the degradation of the PFA. Refrigeration is generally used for air cooling or water cooling. PFA cylinders must bear high pressure, have sufficient strength and stiffness, and have smooth inner walls.

3. Extrusion part: the screw is suspended in the center of the PFA cylinder, consistent with the center line of the PFA cylinder, without obvious deviation. The clearance between the screw and the PFA cylinder is small, giving the PFA a strong shearing effect and pushing forward.
