  Introduction to PFA:

  1. PFA is a copolymer of a small amount of perfluoropropyl perfluorovinyl ether and polytetrafluoroethylene. The melt adhesion is enhanced, the melt viscosity is reduced, and the performance is unchanged compared with polytetrafluoroethylene. This kind of resin can be directly processed into products by ordinary thermoplastic molding methods.

  2. The long-term use temperature is -196-260 degrees, it has excellent chemical resistance, corrosion resistance to all chemicals, the lowest friction coefficient among plastics, and good electrical properties. Its electrical insulation is not affected by temperature. Influence, known as the "Plastic King".

  3. Its chemical resistance is similar to polytetrafluoroethylene and better than vinylidene fluoride.

  4. Its creep resistance and compressive strength are better than those of polytetrafluoroethylene, and its tensile strength is higher, and its elongation rate can reach 100-300%. Good dielectric properties, excellent radiation resistance, and flame retardancy up to V0 level.

  5. Non-toxic: with physiological inertness.

  PFA materials include tubes, rods, membranes, end plates, etc. The main functions of PFA rods: hydrolysis resistance, acid and alkali resistance, impact resistance, chemical resistance, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, insulation, antistatic, and corrosion resistance.

  One, PFA end plate

  The fluoroplastic heat exchanger (pictured below) is a heat exchanger with a small diameter fluoroplastic hose as the heat transfer component, also known as a flexible tube heat exchanger. Commonly used fluoroplastics are polytetrafluoroethylene (F4), polyperfluoroethylene propylene (F46) and fusible polytetrafluoroethylene (PFA). Fluoroplastic heat exchangers are mainly used for heat exchange of various highly corrosive media with a working pressure of 0.2~0.4MPa and a working temperature below 200℃, such as sulfuric acid, highly corrosive chloride solutions, acetic acid and caustic media. Cool or heat.

  What is the relationship between PFA end plates and fluoroplastic heat exchangers? They are equivalent to the complementary relationship of oil and salt, and the two work together to play their peak role. As shown in the figure above, the honeycomb tube plate is the end plate, and the fluoroplastic heat transfer hose needs to be inserted into the end plate. The end plate fixes the tube, and the tube makes the end plate useful.

  Know the industry clearly, PFA material is of high quality among fluoroplastics, and a good horse is equipped with a good saddle. At present, the biggest use of PFA end plates is the fixing of heat exchangers.

  Two, PFA rod

  The main features of PFA bars:

  1. The working temperature of PFA bars-196 to 260 degrees

  2. 2. Almost unlimited chemical resistance, alkali resistance, sulfuric acid resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, UV resistance

  3. PFA (Soluble Polytetrafluoroethylene) has excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, chemical stability, mechanical properties, insulation properties, self-lubricating properties, folding resistance and crack resistance.

  Three, PFA board

  The melting point of the PFA board is about 580F, and the density is 2.13-2.16g/cc (grams/cubic centimeter). PFA is similar to PTFE and FEP, but above 302T, the mechanical properties are slightly better than FEP, and can be used at temperatures up to 500F, and its chemical resistance is equivalent to PTFE.

  The product form of PFA is useful for molding and extruding granular products, and powder products for rotational molding and coating. Its semi-finished products include films, plates, rods and pipes. The use of PFA is similar to FEP.

  PFA board forming performance:

  1. Crystal material, low moisture absorption. Can be processed into products by usual thermoplastic processing methods

  2. Poor fluidity, easy to decompose, and produce corrosive gas during decomposition. It is advisable to strictly control the molding temperature not to exceed 475 degrees, the mold should be heated to 150-200 degrees, and the pouring system should have low resistance to material flow.

  3. Translucent pellets, injection molding and extrusion molding. The molding temperature is 350-400 degrees, and the temperature above 475 degrees is likely to cause discoloration or air bubbles. And note that demolding will be more difficult.

  4. Because the molten material has a corrosive effect on the metal, the mold needs to be electroplated with chromium for long-term production. The chemical properties of PFA FEP PTFE are similar, but FEP can only be used below 200 degrees, and PTFE cannot be injection molded.

  Four, PFA tube
